Habitat for Humanity looking for homeowner applicants
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — If you’re looking to build a new home, Habitat for Humanity might have an opportunity for you.
The organization is taking applications for the three homes they’re planning to build this year. All three new houses will be located on the same corner on 5th and Mississippi Streets in La Crosse.
Usually the organization focuses on building one home at a time, but this year, they’ll be breaking ground on all three projects at once.
“It’s not necessarily a challenge, it’s just a great opportunity,” said executive director Kahya Fox. “I see the fact that we’re going to be able to tell three families all at once that we’re going to be building a home with them. [It] is just a wonderful opportunity and is going to be great for three families in our community.”
Habitat for Humanity is requiring interested prospective homeowners to attend one of their informational sessions on their requirements.
Those sessions will be held at 10 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 3rd and 9 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 6th.
Attending the sessions is required in order to get an application.
For more information or to register for one of the sessions, you can go to their website at habitatlacrosse.org.
