Gundersen Health System requiring certain masks beginning Wednesday
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – In the wake of COVID-19 cases rising exponentially, Gundersen Health System is making a change to its masking requirements.
According to a news release, the healthcare system is requiring patients and visitors to wear only medical-grade masks, cloth masks (tie or ear loop) with a nose wire, or N95 or KN95 masks without vents across all locations beginning Wednesday, Jan. 12.
Those who come in without one of those masks will be offered one when they are screened.
Gundersen will not accept masks with vents, cloth masks without a nose wire, neck gaiters, or bandanas.
