Groundbreaking held for new Riverland Power Cooperative offices in Holmen
HOLMEN, Wis. (WKBT) — A groundbreaking ceremony is marking the start of a construction project for Riverland Energy Cooperative.
Once construction is completed, Riverland will have 19,000 square feet of office and warehouse space north of Holmen.
The new space was needed because of growth the project.
The cooperative had been looking for a new space for over more than two years.
Riverland staff say the day is exciting for many reasons.
“I think it sends a message to our employees, it sends a message to the village of Holmen, and all of La Crosse County that we’re here and we’re here to stay,” said Jerry Sorenson, Riverland Energy Cooperative general manager.
Riverland’s current office building in Onalaska will be sold once the new building is completed.
