Groundbreaking held for Gundersen Health System’s Tomah clinc
TOMAH, Wis. (WKBT) — Officials held a ground breaking ceremony Wednesday for a new Gundersen Health System clinic in Tomah.
The new 77,000 square foot facility will be near the new Tomah Memorial Hospital on the city’s south side.
Once completed, the new building will be three times the size of Gundersen’s current facility in Tomah.
After seeing patients drive from Tomah to La Crosse for services, Gundersen administrators say the new building meets a need.
“Its just a natural fit because we’re comfortable here, we know the people here are great, the patients are certainly here and folks we can work with,” said Scott Rathgaber, CEO of Gundersen Health System.
The Gundersen Tomah Clinic will be completed in the summer of 2019.
