UPDATE: Missing veteran found, Green Alert cancelled

MADISON, Wis. — Authorities have made contact with a missing veteran after issuing a Green Alert Thursday afternoon.
Officials with the Baraboo Police Department said 35-year-old Sean D. Hitchcock was last seen in Madison last week. They issued a follow up message around 2:30 p.m. Thursday saying they have made contact with Hitchcock.
Police did not say what condition they found Hitchcock in.
Authorities are asking the public for help with locating a missing veteran who was last seen on Feb. 17.
Officials with the Baraboo Police Department said 35-year-old Sean D. Hitchcock was last seen in Madison last week. According to a news release, he has not been in contact with his family or VA resources in more than a week.
Hitchcock is described as a white man with brown hair and hazel eyes. He is 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighs 190 pounds. Authorities did not share information about what he was wearing the last time he was seen.
According to a release, Hitchcock drives a copper 2017 Nissan Frontier with Wisconsin license plate number NY4534.
Anyone with information about Hitchcock’s location is asked to contact their local law enforcement agency for a welfare check. The Baraboo Police Department is leading the search. Contact them at 608-355-2720.
