Great Rivers United Way hosts second ‘Food Truck Fandango,’ receives generous donations
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – Great Rivers United Way hosted its second Food Truck Fandango in the parking lot of First Presbyterian Church on Thursday.
It kicked off its community fundraising campaign in place of the organization’s usual kick-off breakfast.
Big Mama’s Gyros, Iguana’s, and Kent’s Big Bar Ice Cream truck were all there serving up good eats.
Along with some of the proceeds from the food trucks, State Bank Financial, Festival Foods, and Dairyland Power Cooperative also donated to the campaign.
Between the three businesses, United Way received nearly $174,000!
The first Food Truck Fandango back in August raised about $2,500 alone.
