Great Rivers United Way holds annual Day of Caring

LA CROSSE (WKBT) — Great Rivers United Way held its annual Day of Caring on Wednesday.

Volunteers from 15 local businesses completed 25 projects for 12 partner agencies. During a three-hour stretch Wednesday morning, volunteers helped with projects such as landscaping, gardening, deep cleaning and painting.

“Without them organizing this and getting the volunteers out from WKBT, we wouldn’t be getting all of this work done, so we are really grateful,” said Tita Yutuc, president and CEO of the Family & Children’s Center.

All of the work done Wednesday is estimated to be a Coulee Region investment more than $12,600.
