Grants to help Country Boom bring out-of-state visitors to La Crosse area
Grants come from Wisconsin Department of Tourism and La Crosse County Convention and Visitors Bureau
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – A pair of grants will help Country Boom’s efforts to bring more visitors to our area.
The Wisconsin Department of Tourism presented a grant for a little more than $39,000 to Country Boom organizers Monday morning.
The money will be used to help market the music festival to out of state visitors.
And the La Crosse County Convention and Visitors Bureau gave a $6,500 grant.
It’s not just the music that is part of the experience for visitors.
“It’s very tough to explain the river, the bluffs, the atmosphere, and coming to this event is something we wanted to do showcase the area,” said Country Boom co-founder Jon Holthaus.
The third year of the Country Music festival is set for July 9th through the 11th at Maple Grove Venues near West Salem.
