Small business grants application period closes Tuesday night

There is enough funding for 30,000 small businesses

LA CROSSE, Wis (WKBT) – If you own a small business, you have just a couple more days to apply for a grant that could help you through the pandemic.

The application period for “We’re All In” Small Business Grants closes this Tuesday at 11:59 p.m.

The $2,500 grants from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation will help businesses adopt best practices to keep employees and customers safe.

Your company must make less than a million dollars in gross revenue and have less than 20 employees.

These are not determined on a first-come, first-served basis so you will have the same chance to receive a grant regardless of when you apply.

Missy Hughes, the Secretary/CEO of the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation, is urging people to complete their applications.

“We’ve had great success. It seems like a straight forward application, not a lot of paperwork. So please, please get your application in for that,” Hughes said.

More than 16,000 businesses have already applied. There is enough funding for 30,000 small businesses.

For more information on how to apply, you can go to the WEDC’s website.

The WEDC anticipates releasing the first round of payments by the end of June.
