Grant to help Westby Co-Op Creamery reach new markets
WESTBY, Wis. (WKBT) — A local creamery will benefit from a grant that will allow them to expanding a yogurt dispensing system.
Westby Co-Op Creamery has received a grant from the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection for the project.
The grant will allow the creamery to expand a bagged yogurt dispensing system.
For the project, the Co-Op is working with a Texas company.
The machines could help the creamery to grow their customer base.
“There’s some national hotel chains in particular looking at it, at this project and looking to put those in their breakfast buffets,” said Pete Kondrup, General Manager of Westby Co-Op Creamery.
The yogurt machines are intended initially for schools across Wisconsin.
