Goodview kindergartners raise funds for kids impacted by California wildfires
WINONA, Minn. (WKBT) — Students in Goodview are also using their skills to help others.
Kindergarten students are making ornaments to raise funds for students at Paradise Elementary school in California.
The city of Paradise suffered heavy damage in wildfires last month.
The students are excited to give back to kids their own age.
“For people to get so that we raise money for the elementary school. The elementary school in California got knocked over so we need to give them money,” said Sophy Schmidt, Kindergartner at Goodview Elementary School.
The ornaments will be sold at Winona Senior High School’s boys’ basketball games on December 18th.
