$91,000 of grants were distributed
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – Nearly $42,000 in grants will help teachers in the School District of La Crosse
The 13 ‘Gold Star Grants’ were awarded Tuesday morning to projects throughout the District.
One of the grants will provide $5,000 in match funds towards the purchase of a full dome projection system for Central High School planetarium.
“I would pick up the occasional grade school course but now having it written into the district science plan. Just getting thousands of kids a year through here. It’s just going to be exciting,” said Central High School planetarium director Chad Wilkinson.
This is the third round of ‘Gold Star Grants’ for teachers in the district, totaling $91,000.
