Goats hired to remove invasive species
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – A La Crosse resident needed honeysuckle, garlic mustard, buckthorn, and other invasive species removed from a hillside, so they hired goats to do the job.
There are 43 goats from Goats on the Go chewing their way through the invasive species on Hagen Road in La Crosse. A family member said it’s a safe and ecologically friendly choice. Once the goats are finished munching away, the residents will be able to get to the downed brush on the hillside and clean up their yard.
