Girls visit Trane Technologies in La Crosse as part of Project Scientist program
LA CROSSE (WKBT) — Young girls in the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater La Crosse got a glance at a possible career path.
A group of 31 young learners toured Trane Technologies on Thursday.
They saw products Trane makes, a materials laboratory, and an acoustics laboratory.
This field trip aims to get young girls interested in science, technology, engineering, and math, or STEM, fields.
“We actually have a lot of early talent working in some of these fields where they are the only female, and so we really want to spark that interest early on,” says Miranda Eisermann, the Early Talent Program Manager at Trane.
The girls who toured Trane today were in grades 3 through 7.
Trane is a partner with Project Scientist and has given grants to the program to help expand science and technology education.
