Girl Scouts learning extra lessons in business
Technology helping Girl Scouts learn, connect
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – One of the sweet treats of spring felt the impact from social distancing.
Girl Scout cookie sales were slated to end last weekend.
And about a third of the troops were completed
But there are some still selling as they are working toward individual and troop goals.
While the situation isn’t ideal, it’s providing extra learning for the Girl Scouts.
“To own a small business is a hard thing and so managing inventory is one and meeting the needs of your customer. But also having to pivot when things change and perhaps there is no greater experience that they will have than the change that they’re under right now,” said Girl Scouts of Wisconsin Badgerland CEO Marci Henderson.
Area Girl Scout troops are also turning to technology to help them come together for other activities while we all practice social distancing.
