Girl Scout Cookie Program kicks off Saturday
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – If you’ve been waiting all year for frozen Thin Mints, you’re in luck!
Girl Scout Cookie sales start on Saturday, which means these young entrepreneurs are busy getting everything ready.
48,000 boxes of cookies were sorted at Emerson Elementary on Friday.
Area troops worked together to make sure every order was right.
The more boxes girls sell, the closer they are to earning some big rewards, including a trip to New York!
But for one Girl Scout, the best reward is the experience.
“I like that I get to see everybody, even people I don’t know, I get to say, “Hi! would you like to by some Girl Scout Cookies?” Even if I don’t know them,” said Sarah Stinson, a Girl Scout in the Badgerland Council.
She says her favorite cookies are Carmel Delights.
Money raised goes toward a variety of programs, badges, and camps.
Girl Scouts go door to door to sell cookies, but also have booths at area stores, including Walmart, Sam’s Club, Festival, and ACE Hardware.

The Cookie Program runs until March 22nd.
