Gas prices continue to drop nationwide
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – It’s a good time to fill your gas tank!
Nationwide, gas prices are at their lowest since December 2016.
In nearly a quarter of the country’s states, the average price per gallon is below $2, according to AAA.
Money experts say in the next few months the national average could drop even lower.
They predict it will go under $1.50 cents.
La Crosse gas stations are already around that price.
But the price drop is due to fears of a recession because of the pandemic.
Tensions between Russia and Saudi Arabia is also a factor.
As of Sunday, AAA reported the average price of gas in Wisconsin was $1.84.
Although the price is nice, many drivers won’t be able to take advantage of it because of quarantines.
