Gallery in La Crosse celebrates two years of open doors during First Friday Downtown Art Walk

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – A downtown gallery is celebrating two years in business as it welcomes patrons in for the monthly First Friday Downtown Art Walk.

River City Gallery is one of the stops on the art tour and helped kickstart the walk to encourage the community to enjoy local artists.

The gallery opened its doors two years ago and survived the worst of the pandemic to continue bringing creatives together.

“I’m a hometown girl and just moved back to La Crosse, so I was very excited that this gallery was now available and its got quality art,” said Local Artist Terri Einer.

The co-founder of the gallery, Robin Moses, says there’s much to see at the gallery.

“Our biggest ask for the community is to really think about purchasing and supporting local arts in your community, and if you haven’t been in yet, stop down and see what the local artists have to offer,” said Moses.

These downtown art walks happen on the first Friday of the month, rain or shine.

Other downtown businesses on the tour include Turtlestack Brewery, The Root Note, and Larson’s General Store.
