G-E-T football going back to old roots with new coach

G-E-T will be led by a new coach for the second straight season, but it’s a bit different this time.

Long-time assistant coach, Paul Anderson is taking over after the team won just one game last year.

Anderson learned a lot over the years coaching with soon-to-be Hall of Famer, Jon Steffenhagen and says this year, they’re going back to their roots, and the players are pumped to be back running the ball.

“It’s just, it’s fun being able to hammer guys down in the trenches in this offense, I just love it. I’m happy it’s back. Since middle school, we’ve all just wanted to win and win and last year just pushed us to be better,” said senior offensive lineman, Tomah Haney.

The Redhawks kick off their season at home against Modovi on August 19th.
