Future of La Crosse Emerson Elementary discussed at meeting
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — The future of one of La Crosse’s elementary schools is up for discussion.
School District of La Crosse officials hosted a meeting at Emerson Elementary Thursday evening.
Community members are invited to give input about the future of the school.
The school first opened in 1939 and has been remodeled four times.
The school’s location is making planning for the future difficult.
“There’s not much room for us to do more and to work more with that school without acquiring other property near it,” said School District of La Crosse Superintendent Randy Nelson.
The meeting was held at Emerson Elementary’s Library Media Center.
