Fundraiser supports ‘Back2School’ supply program in La Crosse
The efforts is a joint effort of multiple organizations including Catholic Charities and Salvation Army of La Crosse County.
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – A donation drive will make sure area kids are ready to return to classes this fall.
The ‘Back2School Supply Program’ in La Crosse is an effort of several community organizations.
That includes the Catholic Charities and Salvation Army of La Crosse County.
Last year more than 1,000 students needed help from the drive to make sure they were ready for school.
As some families are dealing with the impacts of the pandemic, organizers are anticipating the need to be greater this year.
That’s why they are asking for your support.
“Eventually they will go back to school in-person. And students are still going to need these school supplies, whether they’re working at home or working in schools,” said Shannon Parker with La Crosse Charities.
Organizers have a $10,000 goal for the fundraiser.
