Fundraiser helps nonprofit educate people about historical treasures
Ornament sale to help fund Preservation Alliance of La Crosse yearly budget
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — There’s no better way to get into the holiday spirit than decorating for Christmas.
The Preservation Alliance of La Crosse is holding its annual ornament sale. The nonprofit educates the public about some of the historic treasures we have right here in our own community.
The sale is a fundraiser to help fund the alliance’s yearly operating budget. There are a number of different ornaments to choose from, each one serving its own purpose throughout the year.
“They’re great for decorating, but they’re also great to take when you’re going to a party at someone’s house for a hostess gift. You can take them if you’re going to another country, or if you have guests coming form out of town. They are tremendous symbol of some of the real architectural treasures we have in this community,” said Preservation Alliance of La Crosse Volunteer Mariel Carlisle.
