Friends of La Crosse library set ‘Grab and Go Book Sale’ for Saturday
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — In lieu of an annual meeting, the Friends of the La Crosse Public Library will offer a Grab and Go Book Sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 23.
The organization scheduled the sale to support its fundraising efforts and offer patrons a chance to get gently used books for their own use or to share at a Free Little Library.
A suggested donation of $5 will buy a pre-bagged selection of books, organized by genre and age. Each bag will have about eight items, offered “as is.”
The sale will take place in the main library, with entry only at the outer Ninth Street doors. Customers will be limited to 10 at a time in the main hall.
Patrons should wear masks and practice social distancing. If possible, they should bring exact change.
Following is the menu of bag selections:
• Adult books and audiobooks
• General fiction
• Variety (above plus non-fiction, classics, short stories, etc.)
• Children’s books (variety grouped by age)
• First through third grades
• Third through sixth grades
Proceeds from will support Friends of the La Crosse Public Library programs.
