Free COVID-19 tests set for Monday in Trempealeau County
STRUM, Wis. (WKBT) — Free COVID-19 tests will be available from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday at Eleva-Strum High School at W23597 Hwy. 10 in Strum.
The nasal swab tests will be offered to any Wisconsin resident 5 or older who is experiencing at least one symptom of COVID-19. The symptoms, which can be mild, include fever, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or new loss of taste or smell.
Testing also will be available for anyone who has been in contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19. Community members are asked to wear masks to protect the staffers collecting information.
Co-sponsoring the event are the Trempealeau County Health Department, the Buffalo County Health and Human Services Department, the Eleva-Strum School District and the Wisconsin National Guard.
