Free COVID-19 testing site in La Crosse
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Another free COVID-19 testing site is providing an opportunity to get tested for the virus in La Crosse. The site opened up this morning at 10 o’clock, and wraps up at 6:00 P.M. or whenever tests run out. The drive thru nasal swab testing is located at the La Crosse County Health and Human Services Building. Health officials said they have increased the amount of testing they are doing today.
“I believe we have 600 available, which is an increase of what we had last week. Last week we completed 460 tests, so we’re really hoping to get through 600 today. Last week we completed 460 tests I believe by 3:30 P.M. so that’s the reason why we increased it and are hoping to go through them all,” said Abbie Loos, of the La Crosse County Health Department.
There will be another testing event next Monday. To save time, you can register online or visit the La Crosse County Health Department Facebook page for more details.
