Franciscan Spiritual Center holding online forum for community to learn about confronting racism
One of the goals of the forum is to discuss effective, yet non-violent responses in fighting racism
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — More local organizations are doing their part in trying to combat racism.
The Franciscan Spirituality Center will be holding two online forums called “Becoming Instruments of Peace” with the goal of confronting racism.
The event is to be held Monday June 8th and Tuesday June 9th.
One of the goals of the forum is to discuss effective, yet non-violent responses in fighting racism.
Jean Pagliaro, the Program and Retreat Coordinator for the center said, “There is a deeper desire to want to talk, and to get ideas as how to respond and become further engaged in addressing racism.”
Participation in the event is free, but registration is required.
Their first session is filled, however there is still a chance to sign up for their second session Tuesday June 9th.
