Former Wis. Gov. Walker endorses GOP candidate Kleefisch for governor, both visit voters in La Crosse Co.

LA CROSSE (WKBT) — Republican candidate for governor Rebecca Kleefisch has the endorsement of her former boss Scott Walker.

The two made a campaign stop in La Crosse County on Thursday.

Walker says during his time as Wisconsin’s governor with Kleefisch as lieutenant governor, the state passed legislation that was important to Wisconsin conservatives.

He believes Kleefisch can build that momentum again.

“What we saw during our time in office was there was no greater advocate for creating jobs and opportunities in the state than Rebecca Kleefisch,” said Walker.

Kleefisch is in a tight race with Tim Michels. The business owner is endorsed by former president Donald Trump.
