Former UW-La Crosse professor seeking court review of investigation reports
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — A former UW-La Crosse professor accused of sexual misconduct is seeking a court review of investigation reports.
UWL received notice from Joel Elgin that he is seeking a court review of the university’s decision to release the reports.
Because of that request, the reports will not be released.
Chancellor Joe Gow announced last week that Elgin was resigning instead of responding to the allegations detailed in an investigative report.
Elgin was placed on leave from the university in September after UW-La Crosse reopened an investigation into the sexual harassment allegations.
A student says Elgin touched her inappropriately in a locked closet in a university building.
Elgin has denied any wrongdoing in a statement released by his attorney and claims he is the victim of a “cancel culture” at the university.
