Former Aquinas star, ISU grad Scott Christopherson breaks down Sunday’s Wisconsin-Iowa State matchup

Wisconsin men’s basketball is preparing to take on Iowa State at the Fiserv Forum Sunday at 5:10 p.m. CT on TNT.

You at home have probably seen a ton of Badger hoops this season, but you may not know much about the ISU men’s team. So News 8 Now Sports reached out to a Cyclone expert who happens to come from the Coulee Region: Scott Christopherson.

Christopherson, the former Mel-Min and Aquinas hoops star, played half his college career at Iowa State. He’s since moved back to the Coulee Region with his young family, but the blog site Cyclone Fanatic has brought him on as a Cyclone analyst this season, and from his perspective, Wisconsin vs. Iowa State is a great matchup.

Hear from Christopherson in the attached video.

Iowa State took 37 threes in that LSU game, something Christopherson said is the complete opposite of what Iowa State normally tries to create on offense.

Christopherson added the key matchup could be the battle of freshman point guards, Iowa State’s Tyrese Hunter and Wisconsin’s Chucky Hepburn. Hunter hit seven threes in Iowa State’s Round of 64 win over LSU, but Christopherson says Hunter usually looks to drive the lane.
