Food Truck Friday returns to Logan Middle School

LA CROSSE (WKBT) – People got some tasty treats over the lunch hour Friday to help out a local school.

Logan Middle School brought back its Food Truck Friday fundraiser.

Part of the proceeds go to the school’s consumer and technical education team for field trips and other student experiences.

“I think we need to get the community and the schools to collaborate more,” said Katelyn Hoffman, Logan Middle’s  family consumer science teacher. “I think the kids need to realize what they’re learning, they can actually go do in real life. And so to give them and show them that makes it way more of a deeper understanding.”

The event is also a part of classroom lessons where students tour the trucks and ask owners about the job.
