‘Food Truck Fandango’ raises money for Great Rivers United Way
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – Some food truck fun happened on Thursday evening in downtown La Crosse.
Great Rivers United Way hosted its first-ever ‘Food Truck Fandango’ in the parking lot located at 333 North Front Street, the former CenturyLink building.
Fathead Steve’s, Burger Fusion, and Iguana’s Mexican Street Café served up delicious foods, with some of their proceeds going to United Way.
It was fun way to enjoy the nice weather and great food while making a difference in our community.
“Fundraising for non-profits has been blown out of the water this year since we can’t gather. Not just for United Way, but every non-profit in the communities we serve. Anything that can be different, or unique like this is really something we would ask the community to support. Not just for United Way…but just for any non-profit that comes up with something different and unique and is health-conscious and safe, so you can support them and they can continue the programming for all the people that are in need,” said Mary Kay Wolf, Executive Dir., at GRUW.
Wolf says about 200 tickets were sold before the event even took place!
