Flu shot clinics opening this week

Flu season is seeing an early start in Wisconsin this year and area health providers want to make sure you’re protected.

One person already had to be hospitalized for the flu in La Crosse earlier this month.

Statewide, more than 50 cases of influenza have been reported at last count and nearly 20 people have been hospitalized.

To help people get vaccinated, Gundersen Health System opened their flu clinics for the season on Monday. Mayo Clinic Health System will open theirs on Tuesday.
