Recent rainfall, combined with snow melt to our north is causing the Mississippi River to to rise above flood stage at many locations.

Wabasha

A flood warning continues for the Mississippi Wabasha. Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. Look for the river to rise to 13.9 feet by next Friday morning. Additional rises are possible after that.

Winona

A flood warning continues for the Mississippi River at Winona. Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. The river is expected to rise to 14.9 feet by next Friday morning. Additional rises are possible after that.

La Crosse

A flood warning continues for the Mississippi River at La Crosse. Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. We expect the river to rise to 13.1 feet by next Thursday. Additional rises are possible after that. At 12.3 feet, the water begins to flood Nelson Park in the Town of Campbell.

McGregor

A flood warning continues for the Mississippi River at McGregor/Prairie du Chien. Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is expected. The river will rise to 18.7 feet by next Friday morning. Additional rises are possible after that.

Keep in mind, the forecast takes into account forecast precipitation over the next few days. If precipitation amounts vary, it will have an impact on the flood forecast. -WKBT Cory Malles
