First public meeting held on Trane All-Abilities Park funding campaign
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — The first public meeting was hosted Wednesday morning for a new all-abilities park in La Crosse.
The Trane All-Abilities Park Consortium hosted community members to talk about current fundraising levels and goals.
The Park funding campaign is trying to raise six million dollars in total. The Project president hopes to be halfway to that goal by the end of April. He also says they nearly have enough donations to begin construction.
“It is our goal to be able to start sometime this summer with the idea that by the end of the summer or so in 2019 it’ll be completed,” said Trane All-Abilities Park Project President Francis Formanek.
A majority of donations have come from local businesses and the city of La Crosse. You can donate at the Trane All-Abilities Park website.
The group plans on meeting with updates on the project the third Wednesday of each month.
