First degree intentional homicide charge for Odell Thompson
Thompson made initial appearance in La Crosse County Court
ONALASKA, Wis. (WKBT) – An Onalaska man is now facing a first degree intentional homicide charge in the death of a young man.
35-year-old Odell Thompson made an initial appearance in La Crosse County Court Friday afternoon.
According to the complaint, Thompson was driving with Shavonte Thompson November second on La Crosse’s north side.
Shavonte asked for the car to be stopped in an alley by 908 Copeland Avenue.
Shavonte allegedly left the vehicle and shot 18-year-old Javier Hall.
Hall was found in an alley late at night and later died at the hospital.
Judge Todd Bjerke set a $50,000 cash bond for Odell Thompson, half of what District Attorney Tim Gruenke requested.
Thompson has been in the La Crosse County Jail since early last month, facing a sexual assault charge along with other charges.
