FIRST ALERT FORECAST: Sunglasses definitely needed this afternoon! – Erik Dean

And probably for the next few days as well!!

After a soggy weekend, we are able to finally clear out. The good news, the Areal Flood Watch that was in effect for the majority of the News 8 Now Viewing Area has expired. It was able to expire early. Temperatures today will be well below normal, making for a gorgeous Monday once the clouds move out of the area. That will be just in time for the drive home. The stretch of nice weather will last for the majority of this week. That is, until this weekend.

So as mentioned we will stay below normal today with highs in the mid – upper 70s. We will see temperatures in the low – mid 80s for Tuesday and Wednesday before our next front pushes through the area. As we roll into Thursday, we drop the temperatures again with highs in the 70s & 80s for Thursday and Friday.

Today Tonight

8 Day Am

So the good news is temperatures will be pretty darn tolerable this week with highs in the 70s & 80s. The rain chances increase as we roll into the weekend again. It is possible to hear a rumble of thunder or two next weekend and the first part of the workweek. The bottom line, enjoy this week!!
