FIRST ALERT FORECAST: Show chances linger this evening. -Erik Dean
Alert Days have been declared for Tuesday - Wednesday. Make sure you have the News8000 First Alert Weather App to receive the latest updates.
DISCUSSION: After seeing cloudy skies with a round of snow push through the Coulee Region, we will see the snow chances taper off throughout the overnight hours. Round 2 will begin tomorrow starting with the southern zones, and working its way northward. At that time, the snow will continue to linger throughout the area until Wednesday. Some places could see as much as 2″, so definitely plan ahead if you have to commute in the morning.
Much like the past several days, overnight lows will be in the upper 20s – low 30s. The feels like temperature will be a few degrees off from the ambient temperature. Regardless, make sure you allow yourself extra time to get to your morning destination. As we head into the evening hours, the snow will continue to fall across the entire News 8 Now Viewing Area. The feels like temperature at that time will still be in the 20s. Highs for Tuesday will be in the low – mid 30s.
And then we drop even more as we head into the 2nd half of the work week. Highs on Thursday will be in the mid-upper 20s. By Friday, we will only see highs in the mid – upper teens. Overnight lows will be in the single digits, and that wind chill will be WELL below zero. Simply put, bundle up as we head into the next several days. Please bring your pets in and check on the elderly.
Enjoy your evening!
