FIRST ALERT FORECAST: A chilly start to your Monday is in store. -Erik Dean

Highs on Monday will only make it into the 40s.

DISCUSSION: It was definitely not a bad Sunday at all across the Coulee Region. We made it to 58° which is 7 degrees warmer than our average high. As we head into your Monday, we will drop the temperatures with highs only reaching the mid to upper 40s. When you wake up in the morning, temperatures in the 20s & 30s will greet you. We’ll start the day off with plenty of sunshine then the clouds will push through as we roll into the afternoon to early evening hours.

LOOKING AHEAD: This week is going t0 be a rollercoaster ride in terms of temperatures. Here is a little sneak peak of how it will play out. We will have a low pressure system push through the coulee region. This low will do two things; first it will drop the temperature substantially. Wednesday & Thursday we will see highs in the mid 60s with precip chances. By Friday, we drop into the 40s and keep the rain chances. I will NOT rule out a few snow showers on Friday as well. The guidance models at this time are trying to paint some light snow. It’s definitely something worth keeping an eye on.
