Fire damages garage at La Crosse home

‘All Fired Up’ exhibit to show local firefighting history

A fire Wednesday morning caused moderate damage to a detached garage in La Crosse.

Firefighters were called to 332 23rd St. South at about 10:27 a.m. for a report of a garage on fire.

Crews arrived on scene within 5 minutes and the fire was under control by 10:41 a.m.

The damage was contained to the front interior and exterior wall of the garage.

16 fire department personnel responded.

The cause is under investigation.
