Blaze destroys house, damages others in Dakota, MN

DAKOTA, Minn. (WKBT) — Fire crews are battling a house and garage fire in Dakota.
A home was ablaze, adjacent to a garage that housed the Precision Tool and Cutter Sharpening Co. The siding on two nearby residences was damaged.
The owner was grinding tools in the business area when the fire started, but it did not start where he was working, fire officials said.

The residence was built in 1847 as a stagecoach stop.
Fire departments from Dakota, La Crescent, Nodine, Pitwick and Ridgeway responded to the blaze.
