Festival Foods to open first store in Milwaukee area
33rd location for Onalaska-based grocery chain
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Festival Foods is opening its first location in the Milwaukee area. The Onalaska-based grocery store chain said the new 67,000-square-foot store will operate 24 hours a day.
The store, which will open at 6 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 8, will offer a wide variety of grocery items. It will also include full-service meat, seafood and deli departments, a large natural foods department, fresh sushi, a scratch bakery and catering services.
The floor plan of the store at 5600 South 108th St. in Hales Corners will be different from most other stores. The deli department will be located near the front entrance, to make grab-and-go items more accessible to shoppers in a hurry.
“We understand that grocery shoppers have many options, and Festival Foods strives to be the No. 1 choice for many reasons – the best shopping experience, excellent product quality and selection, and exceptional value,” said Mark Skogen, president and CEO of Festival Foods.
There will be a supervised in-store child care service and bratwurst stand, which can be used for nonprofit fundraisers.
This is the 33rd Festival Foods location in Wisconsin. It will employ 250 associates.
