FDA expands bagged salad recall alert
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT)–The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is updating an alert linked to tainted bagged salads. The items are linked to a Cyclospora outbreak.
Consumers should not eat any ‘Fresh Express’ products from Steamwood, Illinois. The products to avoid contain either iceberg lettuce, red cabbage or carrots.
If you’re going to go check, the items to get rid have a product code that begins with the letter ‘Z’.
Hy-Vee Brand Garden Salad, Jewel-Osco Signature Farms brand garden salad, Walmart’s Marketside Classic Iceberg Salad and ALDI Little Salad Bar Brand Salad have also been recalled.
So far,206 people have been sickened by the outbreak.
