Exit 3 construction in La Crosse entering final month
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — With the warmer weather also comes construction season.
Work on the Exit 3 area is back underway, following a slow start to construction because of the weather.
Crews will be working on planting trees, paving the ‘eagle watch’ parking lot, as well as finishing up some pavement markings. After years of work, the construction project is nearing completion.
“We had to wait for the ground to thaw out, but now as you can see it’s full tilt. We’re planting trees, getting some of the planting beds done, and then we’ll also be doing some work on the bridge up there,” said Rob Winterton, WisDOT Project Manager.
WisDOT has a scheduled completion date of May 24th for the project, though project managers say it may go past that date.
