(CNN) - David Hedison, best known for starring in “Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea” and appearing in two James Bond films, has died at the age of 92, the BBC and People.com reported Monday.
He died July 18 in Los Angeles with “his loving daughters Alexandra and Serena by his side,” according to a statement received by People.
“Even in our deep sadness, we are comforted by the memory of our wonderful father,” the statement said. “He loved us all dearly and expressed that love every day. He was adored by so many, all of whom benefitted from his warm and generous heart.”
In addition to starring in the TV series “Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea,” Hedison appeared in both James Bond films “Live and Let Die” in 1973 and “Licence to Kill” in 1989.
He also appeared on “The Colbys,” “The Love Boat,” “The Fall Guy” and “Dynasty,” the BBC said.
