LA CROSSE, Wis (WKBT) – A local group will be screening a project to help remember our city’s rich past.

The Enduring Families Project began as a bus tour in 2018 as a theatre project that brings to life the stories of African Americans who lived in La Crosse from its beginnings.

The program will begin with a viewing of three completed videos which were filmed using local historical homes as a backdrop. The virtual screening will then be followed by a panel discussion with the actors and project leads.

The event will be held online via Zoom on Sept. 23 at 7 p.m.  To reserve your spot, you can call  608-789-7145 or email prustad@lacrosselibrary.org.

This program is in partnership between the La Crosse County Historical Society, the La Crosse County Library System and the La Crosse Public Library.
