Elvis Explosion returns to La Crosse for 25th anniversary show

LA CROSSE (WKBT) — Elvis is making an entrance.

Friday officially marks Elvis Explosion’s 25th year at the La Crosse Center.

35 tribute artists will compete.

The contestant with the voice and look most similar to Elvis will be crowned king and walk away with $10,000.

Event organizers say ticket sales are booming this year and it’s thanks to the popularity of the latest Elvis biopic.

“Ticket sales are strong and that is because of the shot in the arm by the new movie and we’re seeing a younger crowd coming in,” said Elvis Explosion Producer Ronny Craig. “Elvis may be gone physically, but there was movies, there was records. He lives on.”

The event will feature live music from all Elvis eras.

Tickets are available online or at the door.
