Early morning head-on crash temporarily closed 3rd St.

LA CROSSE (WKBT) — All lanes are now open on 3rd St. after an early morning crash between an SUV and a semi-truck.

La Crosse Police responded to 3rd St. and Adams St. around 2:40 a.m.

Lanes were temporarily closed until just after 6 a.m.

According to the La Crosse Police Department, the driver of the SUV was extricated from the vehicle by the La Crosse Fire Department. They say the cause appears to be drunk driving.

Both drivers sustained only minor injuries.
