‘Eagles Helping Eagles’ will provide support for UW-La Crosse students in need
Program was delayed because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – A donation effort will help UW-La Crosse students in need.
The ‘Eagles Helping Eagles’ program will provide things like towels, dishes and clothing.
The effort is run by the UWL Financial Aid Office.
Requests for items by students, or faculty and staff on their behalf, will be made online.
Planning for the effort started in the fall and while changes to the school year delay the program, it also highlighted the need.
“We don’t have any idea what kind of need we’re going to have, because we haven’t done this before. But we’re hoping that if someone does have a need that they’ll feel good about coming forward,” said UW-La Crosse financial aid director Louise Janke.
