Eagle Battalion named “Most Improved” in 2015
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — UW-La Crosse’s ROTC program was honored Friday night.
The 3rd Army ROTC Brigade named the Eagle Battalion 2015’s most Improved program.
The award recognizes things like recruiting, retention, and quality of the officers and instructors.
The group was chosen out of more than 40 different programs throughout the Midwest.
Its battalion leaders say the honor is proof just how hard the cadets work.
“We’ve got a very new team, and there’s a lot of energy, and there’s a great deal of talent, and they’re very dedicated to improving the program,” said Lt. Col. Jane Brannan Tamboli.
This is the first time in program history it’s received the award.
