Monday’s Forecast High: 34F / Tonight’s Low: 31F…

A batch of light snow quickly tracked east across the region Sunday night… dropping 1″ to 2″ in most areas, although there were a few isolated reports around 3″. The official total at the La Crosse airport was 1.7″ of snow. Roads, sidewalks and parking lots will be slippery in spots for the morning commute… so use caution.

Today will be dry with mostly cloudy skies, although there could be some partial clearing in spots later this morning into the early afternoon hours. Temps will be a bit warmer today with highs in the low-mid 30s.

8 Day Forecast

Active Pattern Continues Over Next 8 Days

Looking Ahead… An active pattern will continue over the next 8 days, with additional chances for snow. Expect a chance of light snow on Wednesday, with light accumulations possible. Highs Wednesday will be in the upper 20s.

Dry, but colder Thursday with highs in the teens and lows in the single digits. A stronger system will bring a good chance of snow Friday, with the snow likely lingering Friday night and into Saturday morning. It’s too early to say how much snow could fall with this system, but moderate accumulations look possible at this time. Stay tuned for updates through the week.

It turns colder for Sunday through Tuesday with highs mainly in the teens and lows in the single digits, perhaps even below zero in some spots. Sunday and Tuesday look dry at this point, with just a slight chance of light snow showers or flurries on Monday.

Have a good Monday! -Bill Graul
